Making a positive contribution to your neighbourhood - tackling Anti-Social Behaviour

We were successful in obtaining a Partial Closure Order which was granted for a property on Munster Avenue. The tenant was issued with the order after a joint effort with Police, BCH and Blackpool Council and was issued on the 11th March 2026 and is in place for 3 months.

Stronsay Place drying area improvement works

Following consultation with residents, works have recently been carried out to improve the drying area at Stronsay Place. Works have included:

  • Tarmacking the drying area
  • Renewing the fencing
  • Reinstating the washing lines
  • Installing a lower-level drying facility

Following concerns from customers about parking issues in the area, we have looked into how we can make a positive contribution to your neighbourhood by completing environmental improvement works. We have explored the option of reducing the green spaces in the area to create additional parking, but unfortunately this isn't a viable option due to the high cost of rerouting underground services. However, we have identified a number of improvements which we hope will help to alleviate the parking issues and prevent further concerns.

Parking bays on Edmonton Place and Linden Place have now been repainted to clearly define parking spaces.

Resident feedback highlighted that sections of grass are being damaged by vehicles parking on the kerbs. To protect these areas, we will install fencing, which will enable the grass to recover and prevent any further damage.

The areas identified on Edmonton Place will be repaired. Large planters will then be installed to prevent any further damage. The planters will be maintained as part of our grounds maintenance schedule.

Tree planting

Following resident feedback on how we can improve your area, we've planted a selection of fruit trees on Washington Court. The planting was undertaken by our Grounds Maintenance contractor, Fylde Council.

Listening to Your Views and Acting Upon Them

BCH is committed to making positive contributions to your neighbourhoods. As part of this commitment, we have been looking into the possibility of improving the external spaces in the areas incorporating Airdrie Place, Ashfield Court, Ashfield Road, Beattock Place, Braemar Walk, Oban Place and Portree Road.

In March 2026, we invited local residents to a consultation event to gain their views on the proposals to introduce new waste disposal facilities and improve the environment by remodelling several pathways to create Community Streets. We received valuable feedback but, due to the low attendance levels at the event, we sent a follow up survey to gain as much feedback as possible.

Thank you to those residents who took the time to complete and return this, it is appreciated. The deadline date for responses has recently passed and we’re now collating the results which will help to inform future plans. Check back for an update soon!
