Electricity North West own, operate and maintain the electricity network across the North West region. They acknowledge that despite investment, there are times when the power to homes does go off.
Some customers need additional support when they are without power so they have developed a free Extra Care Register with a dedicated Welfare Team to keep vulnerable customers safe and comfortable if they do have a power cut. This includes:
- Prioritised calls
- Early weather warnings to help plan and prepare
- A nominated contact for updates
- You can register a unique password so if they ever need to visit you at home, you will know it's definitely them
- Dedicated Welfare Team to provide additional support where required
Further information, eligibility criteria and details of how to register can be found here.
