Blackpool Coastal Housing is committed to keeping our customers and communities safe.
As part of this commitment, we recently worked in partnership with Blackpool Police and other community support services to complete Disruption Visits at a number of properties, with a particular focus on the Bispham area.
This targeted multi-agency approach formed part of the National County Lines Intensification Week, which raises awareness and prevents the dangers of County Lines. As a result of this, protective, preventative and enforcement action was taken including safeguarding and warnings issued, both in relation to anti-social behaviour and drug activity.
Instances of tenancy cuckooing were also highlighted with safe and confidential measures put in place to safeguard vulnerable residents.
County Lines is a term used to describe gangs and organised criminal networks involved in exporting illegal drugs, using dedicated mobile phone lines or other form of ‘deal line’. County Lines gangs are highly associated with violence, drug dealing and exploitation, having a devastating impact on young people, vulnerable adults, and local communities.Definition from Lancashire Police
