We have recently been made aware of customers receiving phone calls from unknown numbers claiming to be from BCH, contacting regarding disrepair issues. There have also been instances of unsolicited door knocking across our estates.
These companies operate by cold calling, claiming to be from BCH, or a contractor working with BCH. If you are in any doubt about who you are speaking to, please don’t respond and contact us directly. Remember, all BCH staff and approved contractors will always make a pre-arranged appointment with you and will always be wearing identification badges.
Report any incidents of cold calling to Trading Standards on 01253 478375. You can also request a ‘No Cold Calling’ pack, including a no cold-calling sticker, Safe and Secure directory and information leaflets you can distribute to your friends or neighbours.
