Introducing ‘Borrow It Blackpool’, a project run by the Volunteer Centre, Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.
Borrow It Blackpool is a community lending library that loans out items (Household, DIY, Gardening or Leisure) for five days to members for a small loan fee.
They’re looking to lend a helping hand to people either impacted by the cost of living or those looking to live more sustainably. Memberships cost £10-a-year and you can sign up on their website today: www.borrowitblackpool.co.uk
Borrow it Blackpool has also recently been successful in acquiring funding from our very own Tenant's Project Fund. A grant of £10,000 will enable Borrow It Blackpool to run a variety of ‘Learn & Loan’ Community Workshops. These workshops will enable people to learn new skills and will cover themes such as DIY, cookery, sewing and decorating.
