We are incredibly proud to share and celebrate an amazing achievement by one of our young people, Ella, who is supported by BCH's Young Person's Resettlement service.
Ella recently entered an art competition showcasing the beauty of Blackpool's Stanley Park as part of its 100th Birthday celebrations. Her stunning photography impressed the judges so much that she was awarded overall winner in the 16-18 age category.
As a result of her success, Ella was invited to display her work during the official centenary celebrations and had the incredible honour of meeting His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward on 15th September 2026. The Duke took the time to speak with Ella personally and admire her award-winning photograph, making the experience even more special.
Following the event, Ella was invited to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea as part of the celebrations.
This truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one that Ella should be exceptionally proud of. Her talent, creativity, and confidence shone through, and it was wonderful to see her hard work and passion recognised in such a memorable way. Congratulations, Ella!
