Clean Warden scheme

If you live in a block of flats and are interested in providing feedback about the cleanliness of communal areas, why not join our Clean Wardens?
Published: 15 May 2026

If you are concerned about the cleanliness of the communal areas in your block, as a Clean Warden you can help to monitor the cleaning contract, that the areas are being maintained correctly and that BCH objectives are being met.

As a Clean Warden, you will fill in a survey, either online or by post. The survey asks you to rate the standard of cleaning by our contractor in the communal areas where you live i.e. whether the stairwells are clear, hallways are clean etc.

Scoresheets are sent at the beginning of each month and should be completed during the month after the cleaning contractors have tended to your communal area. Following each set of scores being received, relevant issues will be raised and feedback will be produced.

Scores are for contractors' works only. External factors, for example, neighbourhood issues, should not influence a score.

To take part in this scheme you must live within a block.
