Our Partner Agencies

Last Modified June 13, 2017

Partnership working enables us to meet the needs of our customers. Working with other agencies not only strengthens relations with the local community but also helps provide additional information and evidence that can help resolve issues.

Without our Partners we would not be able to make improvements and tackle the issues that make a difference to our customers. Their contribution is instrumental in improving our communities.  Here are some of the partners we work with at BCH:

 Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference

The Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) is part of a coordinated community response to domestic abuse.   BCH can refer victims to the conference and will then attend to share knowledge and give advice on individual cases.  The MARAC aims to:

  • Share information to increase the safety, health and well-being of victims/survivors - adults and their children;
  • Determine whether the alleged perpetrator poses a significant risk to any particular individual or to the general community;
  • Construct jointly and implement a risk management plan that provides professional support to all those at risk and that reduces the risk of harm;
  • Reduce repeat victimisation;
  • Improve agency accountability; and
  • Improve support for staff involved in high-risk domestic abuse cases

Muir Group Housing Association

Blackpool Coastal Housing shares its Grange Park Housing Office with Muir Group Housing Association, as they also have properties on the Grange Park Estate.  This means that we can work together to avoid duplication, exchange ideas and agree on ways to resolve complaints or issues.  If you want to know more about Muir Group Housing or would like to speak to them direct, please visit their website here or call into the Grange Park Housing Office at 67 Chepstow Road, Grange Park, Blackpool, FY3 7PH.

Mereside Children's Centre

In partnership with the Children's Centre on Langdale Road, Mereside we hold a weekly Housing Surgery within their building.  This not only helps us to maintain a presence on the Mereside Estate but also allows us to meet our customers face to face in a more informal way.  If you live on Mereside and want to speak to a member of BCH staff, why not pop along to the surgery?  There you can speak to us about any housing issue you would like resolving, ask any questions you might have about your house or tenancy or simply tell us about any ideas or suggestions you might have.  The surgery runs as follows:

EVERY Wednesday from 2pm to 3pm

If you need to speak to us at BCH but cannot attend the surgery, we also have a FREEPHONE set up in the SureStart area at the Childrens Centre.  This means you can ring through to us for free at any time during the day (office opening hours).

Kincraig Childrens Centre (Kincraig Primary School)

In the same way we work on the Mereside housing estate (as above) we also run a housing surgery from the Kincraig Childrens Centre on Kincraig Road, Bispham, Blackpool.  This centre is attached to Kincraig Primary school and allows us to meet individuals, families and children from the surrounding areas.  Call in to see us on the following days:

Every OTHER Monday from 2pm to 3pm (7th July, 21st July, 4th August, 18th August...and so on)

We continue to work closely with Groundwork by identifying environmental projects which have a positive impact on promoting healthy lifestyles within our communities. Groundwork operate across the UK helping communities find practical solutions to the challenges they face.  They provide training and create jobs, reduce energy and waste, re-connect people with nature and transform whole neighbourhoods. Step by step they go on changing places and changing lives until everywhere is vibrant and green, every community is strong enough to shape its own destiny and everyone can reach their potential.

Grange Park Community Partnership

The community partnership provide a forum for members and partner agencies, who work together in the Grange Park community.  As partners they promote, examine and provide solutions for resident issues on the estate with the aim of making it a better place to live and work.  For information on all the exciting events, groups and meetings they have planned in the next few months, take a look at their Newsletter here.

Police and Communities Together (PACT)

The Neighbourhood Policing Team regularly join in walkabouts and attend meetings at BCH's request to ensure that our communities remain safe and secure. PACT meetings are also held within the local community and details of these meetings can be found on the Lancashire Constabulary website.
