Lowmoor Community Garden Open Day

Blackpool Coastal Housing

On Friday 8th October, we welcomed the Mayor, Councillor Amy Cross, and Councillor Rick Scott to cut the ribbon and officially re-open the garden at Lowmoor Community Centre.

The sun was certainly shining on the day as we enjoyed seeing the work the ROC (Redeeming Our Communities) had done on revamping the garden area.

Councillor Rick Scott also provided financial support to enable the project to progress.

Also in attendance were GOGA (Get Out Get Active)/Active Lancs team, Blackpool FC Community Team, Healthwatch and Shared Lives Volunteer Service from the Council to give advice about their services.

Many residents attended the event and also enjoyed some delicious sandwiches and cakes!

We hope this amazing area will bring joy to all who use it.
