Blackpool Coastal Housing was recently approached by DFN Project SEARCH, which is a transition to work programme for students with learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions, with the opportunity to provide one of their service users with 8 weeks work experience.
Arron came to us and was welcomed by the Capital Works Team and started work at Dunsop Court where he played a big part in development of the Sunshine Lounge and Jubilee Garden Project.
He also took an active part in the ongoing refurbishment works on the flats at Dunsop Court. Arron worked well with the team, and Terry Brophy, Contracts Manager would like to say thank you to all the team and special thanks to Mentors Shaun Kirkwood and Wes Searle for making Arron’s placement an interesting and valuable experience.
Since completing his course, Arron has since gone on to find employment with Blackpool Council Waste Services. We wish him all the best with his career.
