How to Apply for a Home

Here at BCH we operate a choice based lettings system as part of the MyHomeChoiceFyldeCoast (MHCFC) scheme.  This means that you can 'bid' for properties that are advertised on the MHCFC website, as long as you meet the criteria for that property. When you 'bid' you are registering your interest in a particular property - and you can bid on up to 5 properties each week.

Before you are able to bid on available homes, you will first need to complete an application to join the housing register. To join the housing register you must be over the age of 16 and provide all the relevant details and evidence required.

The easiest way to apply is online on the MyHomeChoiceFyldeCoast website. You will first need to complete a registration form and then an application form; this will give you your unique reference number to use when bidding on available homes.

If you don’t have access to the internet or would prefer to complete a paper application form, you can:

  • Pick up a form from any of the partner organisations – office details can be found on the MyHomeChoiceFyldeCoast website.
  • Call us on 01253 476111 to request for an application pack to be posted to you.
