How to buy your council home - Step 2
You need to decide if you can afford to buy and maintain your home. If you are buying the lease you need to be aware you will be paying Services Charges twice a year.
Open the
financial statement form (RB Form 22)
and print out a copy it will help you calculate your finances. Click on the link to the

Council Debt Advice
page for further independent financial advice.
If you decided that you want to want to buy your home, you need to fill in an
application form
RTB1 - Notice Claiming the Right to Buy
and the
Bankruptcy Form
which are available on our
Forms
page, from any Housing Office, or contact us and we will post the forms to you. Send them to:
