Apply for a home
This section explains Blackpool’s Housing policy and tells you how to apply for Council and Housing Association properties in the town.
We now operate a Choice Based Lettings Scheme. Under this system finding a home is easier. It gives you greater opportunity to find the home of your choice and it does not limit you to certain areas or the number of properties you can apply for.
You can express your interest for properties you want, by bidding for them in the comfort of your own home, via the telephone, by visiting Customer First (please note that Homestop will not be present at Customer First during December and will return in January 2009) or your local Area Housing Office.
The homestop website also offers information about local areas, communities and amenities, such as doctor’s surgeries and shopping facilities. This will help you make informed choices before committing to a move. The web-site appearance will change soon and details of how to use the new site will be available shortly.
You will need to join the housing register in order to use this service. Please click on "Join the housing register" above for more details.
There are a number of Housing Associations that have available properties in Blackpool. You will need to regsiter on their waiting list to be considered for vacancies.
