What is ASB?

Anti-social Behaviour, or ASB as it is commonly known includes a variety of behaviour covering a whole range of unacceptable activity that can blight the quality of community life. It can cause real misery for people who just want to get on with their lives. Examples of ASB include:

· Nuisance neighbours
· Rowdy and nuisance behaviour
· Yobbish behaviour and intimidating groups taking over public spaces
· Vandalism, graffiti and fly-posting
· People dealing and buying drugs on the street
· People dumping rubbish and abandoning cars
· Begging and anti-social drinking
· The misuse of fireworks
· Racial and sexual harassment

ASB doesn't just make life unpleasant. It creates an environment where more serious crime can take hold. ASB has a negative effect on far too many people’s quality of life and Blackpool Coastal Housing are committed to tackling this problem.

We will listen to people who complain about ASB and try to resolve their issues peacefully, but we will take action against you if you are continuing to commit ASB.
