Councillor Joan Greenhalgh I was born in Blackpool and attended local schools. During the 15 years that I have represented Clifton Ward I’ve served on a variety of committees and working groups and also visited other councils and localities to see how they operate.
I’ve been a school governor for 20 years, Vice-Chair of our community centre and also served on the Community Health Council for 12 years. Most of my life I have been involved in community groups and projects. For the last 22 years prior to my retirement I worked for Thorn Electrical in the TV industry as an administrator.
I’m looking forward to working with my fellow directors at Blackpool Coastal Housing to help provide and promote a service to enhance the lives of both tenants and leaseholders.
