THE EMPTY HOMES TEAM

We are a specialist team of surveyors, builders, joiners, plumbers, electricians, gas service engineers, painters, cleaners and more. Together we have over 60 years experience and we are experts in getting empty properties ready for our new tenants to set up home.

THE EMPTY HOMES SERVICE

Our service is designed to meet the needs and expectations of Blackpool Coastal Housing new tenants. We deal with up to 800 empty properties a year and make sure that any repair work needed is completed quickly and homes are empty for the least time possible.

Any repairs needed inside an empty home will be done while the property is empty. Any work needed outside will be either done or planned. New tenants setting up home also benefit from any improvements planned for their neighbourhood.

The Empty Homes Team guarantees that any property approved as ready to let will be safe, secure, and in a good state of repair. In return we will expect tenants to keep it this way – see Tenancy Agreement.

When a new tenant receives the keys to their new home they will be given a free welcome gift – the Complimentary Household Handy Pack - includes useful information and handy items including energy saving light bulbs, a mug and key ring etc. Also included is a questionnaire that we ask to be returned so we can continually check and improve our service.
