BCH Business Plan 2008 - 2013
The Business Plan is a formal statement of a set of our business goals, the reasons why they are believed attainable, and the plan for reaching those goals. It also contains background information about BCH. Our Business Plan is the tool we use to ensure that what we set out to achieve we actually do achieve.
The BCH Business Plan has a life of five years and will be reviewed in September of each year with a view to having the plan refreshed in time for the new financial year the following April.
Traditionally business plans have been highly confidential and access to them has been quite limited. The BCH business plan is an Open Business Plan which means that it will be published and available to anyone.
The Outcomes and Strategic Objectives that have been put into the Business Plan reflect the strategic direction that the Board has chosen for BCH, and take into account what we need to do to become an excellent organisation.
The Business Plan has also been informed by:
• What our customers tell us they need and what they tell us they want
• The knowledge and expertise of our staff
• The Council’s Housing Strategy
• What BCH needs to do to meet the terms of the management agreement with the Council
• What the Government expects us to do
• What the Audit Commission expects us to do
