Peter Jefferson - Chief Executive
Responsibilities: Overall Strategic responsibility for Blackpool Coastal Housing.
Peter worked in several London Boroughs before moving to Colchester where he was General Manager of Colchester Borough Homes, the in house team that managed Council Housing. He joined Blackpool Council in 1999 where he managed the Council Housing Service until transferring to the ALMO in January 2007.
Peter believes passionately in involving customers and empowering staff to help them make a difference to customers’ lives. He has put this into practice wherever he has worked. He is committed to providing excellent service to customers and believes this can only be achieved by being a first class employer.

Peter Whittaker - Company Secretary
Responsibilities: Governance & Board Support, Policy & Performance, External Communications
Peter began his housing career in Oldham in1970, qualifying in 1976. As part of his full-time qualification studies he worked for a year in Canadian social housing through an exchange with Ontario Housing Corporation.
He has worked in Peterborough New Town, Bedford and again in Oldham, covering a full range of housing management tasks, before moving to Salford as an Assistant Director in 1983. There he dealt initially with housing strategy, development and regeneration issues, and later support services and ICT management. He has worked in Blackpool since 2000.
Peter believes in placing the customer first and in assessing service delivery requirements and achievements from the customers’ perspective. He is concerned to ensure that service improvements are developed from the bottom up, by involving staff at all levels across the organisation, together with customers, in the improvement process.

Cyril Holland - Director of Property Services
Responsibilities: Repairs & Maintenance, Repairs Hotline, Gas Servicing, Empty Property Re-servicing, Stock Investment & Asset Management, Health & Safety.
Cyril started his career as an apprentice joiner and has 30 years experience of Construction and Property related services. Cyril has worked within the Construction Industry and Maintenance sector holding several different positions. Since 2000, Cyril has led the Council’s Repairs Service until transferring to Blackpool Coastal Housing in January 2007.
Cyril believes that working closely and involving tenants to shape service delivery, was a significant factor in the Repairs Service being awarded its current 2 star status in 2004. He is committed to ensuring Blackpool Coastal Housing, and its Partner organisations, provide efficient quality services our tenants will be proud of.

Stephen Dunstan - Director of Finance & Resources
Responsibilities: Financial Services, Information & Communication Technologies, Business Support, Human Resources, Policy & Performance, Home Ownership & Leaseholders, Procurement.
Stephen qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1996. He then worked in accounting and audit roles in higher education, insurance and motor retail before joining Blackpool Council in 2001 as Audit Manager.
Over the next decade Stephen took on responsibility for managing fraud investigation, risk management and insurance and business continuity and emergency planning. His former role has given him extensive experience working with tenants, staff and board members at BCH.
Stephen lives in Blackpool and is delighted to have the opportunity to continue work to improve the homes of BCH tenants which he has already been indirectly involved with at Blackpool Council. He believes in transparency and continuously working to improve value for money in service delivery.

Maggie Cornall - Director of Housing Services
Responsibilities: Income & Debt Prevention, Estate Management, Lettings, Anti-social Behavior, Sheltered & Emergency Housing
Maggie, a busy mum of three young children, has worked in the social housing sector for many years. Maggie has risen through the ranks in a variety of organisations namely, Preston Council, North British Housing Association (now Places for People), West Lancashire District Council, Anchor Trust working on the Liverpool Housing Action Trust contract as a managing agent before coming to Blackpool. Maggie's past experience includes front line housing management, and development projects. Maggie is a fully qualified housing professional completing her Chartered Institute of Housing qualifications in 1997 and becoming a Fellow of the organisation in 2005.
Maggie firmly believes that everyone should have decent living conditions and the provision of high quality services. Maggie has always worked with tenants to improve services and believes tenants and leaseholders should be given the opportunity to become involved in changing services at a level and pace they are comfortable with. |
